While in Florida, we visited with our old VA pals, Colin and Patti. They treated us to a visit to the awesome aquarium. Here Colin holds Chloe while we admire the Manatees:)

Meemaw takes us for a ride in the golfcart. We made at least 10 trips a day down to the lake in hopes of seeing the alligator. Everyone thought it was gone, it hadn't been seen in weeks, and Avery was the first to spot it under the deck! Later that evening word was out that it was back and had been hanging out under the deck! I was freaked out to learn they pulled a 14 ft one out just a few years ago! I had trouble sleeping after that, thinking how crazy I was to let the kids feed the fish off the deck. That thing could have pulled them in. Praise God we were safe! No more wild Florida pond gazing for us!!

The cows finally come, and it turns out none of the children want to feed and get "slimy cow spit" on them:)

AJ rides Meemaw's three wheeler around the retirement community during our visit to Arcadia, FL. Not the typical Jan weather to say the least...gotta love the south!

AJ and Avery roll out the dough for honey wheat bread. Our friend Amy came over and taught us how to grind wheat berries and make our own bread:) It's time consuming, but fun kneading the dough, and the resulting bread is wonderful! We especially love the cinnamon bread. Thanks, Amy!

Chloe does her "big smile" for the camera. She's got her baby in a sling and is sitting at the front door window watching for Daddy to come home from work:)

Avery paints a fresco. She's so artsy, she absolutely loved this art project:) Daddy built the wood frames, and quickly, while Chloe napped, we mixed up the plaster and began painting.

Chloe, Avery, and our three new goldfish. Chloe went poopie in the potty, so as a reward, we rushed over to Walmart and picked up some new fishies! Did little Chlolo continue in the pottie???? Nope, but we tried.
